Foundation Moment

What is a Paul Harris Fellow?

Established in 1957, Paul Harris Fellow recognition is given to individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant. Recognition consists of a certificate and pin. Paul Harris Fellows can also be given on behalf of someone through Foundation Recognition points or through a combination of points and outright donations. Since the creation of the Paul Harris Fellow, over 1.6 million people have become Paul Harris Fellows, including notable figures such as U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, and polio vaccine developer Jonas Salk. Use the Club Recognition Summary to see your club’s Paul Harris Fellows.

Are you ready to become a Paul Harris Fellow and join your fellow Rotarians in financially supporting The Rotary Foundation?

Are you interested in supporting or learning more about our Foundation? Ask Tamara Larsen, Foundation Chair, for information.
Roman Bayrock and wife Sandra ( RC Edmonton Riverview)  are spearheading a project for Belize in conjunction with the next SeaCan of playgrounds and assorted surplus equipment headed down at the end of the month/early September.

Their goal is to collect 250 wedding gowns, veils etc. to send down to the women in Belize looking to set up a resale shop to give them some economic opportunities.  They have over 150 so far.

If you or your members & family have any dresses they wish to donate, please contact Sandra directly and they will arrange to pick them up.  sandra.bayrock@century21.ca
Thanks so much for your consideration and continued interest in supporting Women in need.
