Rotary spent the past week getting great work done at the committee level. (and had a great time doing it of course!) A lot of the magic of Rotary happens during our committee meetings, so the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue dedicates one Tuesday a month for committees to get together and have fun!
The Community Services committee met at Chianti's to plan the year ahead, so stay tuned for a lot of fantastic volunteer opportunities!
Also, past Club President Scott Young organized a meeting to go over our last year's financials. Rotarian Patrick Gibson showed service above self by kindly coming out to support the review. At this meeting, members not only got to show off their fantastic selfie skills but worked heard to ensure our financial house is in order!

Dodge the Streets Charity Dodgeball set for Oct. 19th!
The Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Avenue is partnering with Dodgeball Canada to put on a charity dodgeball tournament in support of Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS)! Tell your friends and come join in when all the excitement happens on October 19th.
This event is open to player of all ages and skills, and will feature a coed division for local schools. Anyone can register their team to play here.
