Last Tuesday we held our club's annual general meeting (AGM) online. This is an important meeting as it is an opportunity to reflect on the current Rotary year, make decisions about the next Rotary year, and holding an AGM is a requirement for our club to maintain our society status. At the meeting, committee chairs reported on the fantastic things that they accomplished during this Rotary year, we discussed the proposed budget for the next Rotary year, and we elected the members of the club board of directors. Congratulations President Kelly, Secretary Mike, Treasurer Stan K, and Past-president Stan B who will who will lead our club in the 2021-2022 Rotary year!

Challenge: Get ONE - GIVE 50!
When you get your Covid-19 vaccine, you may want to consider paying it forward by donating $10 USD to the Polio Fund of the Rotary Foundation. After 2:1 matching from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, your $10 USD will pay for 50 polio vaccinations! We are so close to stamping out polio and your donation will help! Plus, polio vaccination infrastructure has already been of assistance in fighting Covid-19.
Rotary International Virtual Convention
There is a great lineup of activities for engagement with both fellow attendees and Rotary’s leadership during the 2021 Virtual Convention, which is being held June 12-16. You can participate in a virtual walk to end polio, online cooking class, Rotary trivia, and more.

Foundation Moment

Why We Support Our Rotary Foundation?

Every minute of every day someone’s life is being improved by our Rotary Foundation. Rotary clubs on every continent are working to improve the living conditions and health of their fellow citizens. Rotarians like you and me can make a difference by continually supporting our Foundation and the Annual Fund. As Rotarians we determine where funds are allocated through District Designated Funds, which we can use for local or international projects. When we contribute to our Foundation we are promoting worldwide Peace and Understanding.

Only if Every Rotarian Every Year makes a gift to the Annual Fund we will be able to continue to do the great work of The Rotary Foundation.  Thank you for your support!
