Celebrating Alumni and 10 Years of Rotary Whyte This Tuesday!
We're days away from our 10 year anniversary and alumni celebration! While we network, enjoy some delicious food, and socialize, we will look back over the last decade to see how much our club has grown! We also promise that there will be cake :)
We're inviting members of the community as well as the entire Rotary family to take part in this special event. So whether you are a Rotary alumni who has taken part in Interact, Rotaract, a Rotary Youth Exchange, New Generations Youth Exchange, RYLA, a A Rotary Peace Fellowship, or received a Rotary Scholarship, then we hope you can join us! Come celebrate 10 years service and fellowship from Edmonton’s fun, fearless and focused Rotary Club!
RYPEN is a 4-day camp for full-time students between the ages of 14 and 18. The objective of the camp is to encourage personal growth and to bring about a happy and productive youth who is a positive role model in their community and to their peers. It is hosted by the RYPEN Committee in partnership with local Rotary Clubs across Rotary International District 5370. This year, it will be held from May 7th to May 10th, 2020 at Birch Bay Ranch in Sherwood Park, AB.
Know anyone interested? People can apply to be a RYPEN participant by filling out and submitting the form before the deadline. Deadline: 11:59PM on April 17th, 2019.
On Rotary Whyte Ave's week off for committee work, several members met with Treasurer Stan K. to go over club finances! While going over club expenses, we also had a sneak peak at an upcoming event venue (stay tuned for more info!).
Thank you to Stan K. and Scott for coming out to make sure our financial house is in order!
Rotary Social: Watching Stand-Up With Rotary Whyte Ave's Own James Wynters!
A few Rotary Whyte Ave members went out to see our very own James Wynters perform stand-up!
James was at the Comedy Factory this past weekend showcasing his stand-up routine. James had Rotarians and the crowd alike rolling on the floor laughing!
Great job James and thanks to everyone who made it out!
