Arlene Huhn of the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories spoke with us about caring for those with dementia.

At our meeting this past week we learned all about Alzheimer's Disease, and what we can do if we have a family member, friend, or neighbour with dementia. The Society offers information, help, and resources for programs and services. 

Around 60,000 residents in Alberta and Northwest Territories are currently living with Alzheimers Disease and Dementia. Alberta is expected to see one of the most dramatic increases in dementia rates in the country in the next few decades with a projected 286% increase by 2050.
