District Governor Tim Schilds and Polio Plus chair Patrick Gibson accept a cheque from Edmonton Oil Kings for $5610.
Close to 45 000 children will be immunized. Thanks to the over 500 Rotarians and friends who supported this great event.
Great fun was had by all at Shut Out Polio Oil Kings game on Sunday, January 17! Rotary District 5370 raised $5, 610! Over 500 Rotarians attended the game. These funds will be matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation along with the Canadian Government which will result in over 45, 000 children being immunized.
Thank you to all who came out and supported the cause to eradicate Polio world wide.
A BIG thank you to the members of the Rotary Club of Whyte Avenue selling 72 tickets to this event making it the MOST in the District! Congratulations and well done!
