Incoming president Idris Fashan kicked off our classification talk month with a striking presentation on his vocation in Communications. He shared how he feeds off our city's energy, this magic blend of "blue collar flavour and smart people". He outlined how communications ethics line up with Rotary values and why as soon as he was introduced to Rotary in 2013, he became a natural.
Idris' explorer spirit may have to do with being UK-born from a sea-faring family. Cameleon-Idris went from being a biologist in Nova Scotia to touring North America as a drum musician. His introduction to Alberta as an arts and cultural management specialist put an end - at least for now- to his world wandering. Today, as a writer, communication strategist and entrepreneur in Edmonton, Idris warns us " this city is not done with me". Our club is thrilled to have Idris as its next leader.  "What we get involved in, we get energy out of":  we, the fun, fearless and focused shall steal that motto.
