Past meeting Dec 10 DG Betty Screpnek

Last week we enjoyed a visit from our District 5370 Governor for 2013-2014 Betty Screpnek! She provided us with great perspective on the vast number of initiatives our district is undertaking, and the ways we as a club can participate. Saiyed brewed up one of his signature drinks, the 'Betty', and we decorated a tree that will be delivered to the YESS Armoury by Marilyn and Kelly this weekend. We celebrated gifts to the Rotary Foundation, collected gloves-mitts-scarfs-socks to help the youth at risk go through the winter, and welcomed two new 'Paul Harris Fellows' (Marilyn and Alicja), recognizing their contributions to Rotary International. They even got a 'knighting' from Idris! A very warm and enjoyable night on the coldest night of the year!
