Wine Tasting a Success

On Friday, April 23, 2010, the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview held its annual "Spring Fling" wine tasting event.  Spearheaded by Rachel Greenhoe and catered by club member Krys Lordahl, the event was a resounding success with an attendance of 90 people.  The club raised over $10,000 for its foundation which will benefit its services to a number of local organizations such as the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, House of Good Shepherd (a shelter for abused women and their children), the Night Ministry, the Food Depository, neighborhood schools and many more in addition to supporting Rotary International's goal of matching funds from the Bill Gates Foundation for eradicating polio throughout the world.
