At the end of December, club members Rachel Greenhoe, June Ozman, and Maureen Ninneman traveled to Delhi, India with a group of Rotarians to participate in a National Immunization Day to help eradicate polio. They teamed up with local Rotarians to organize immunization efforts in various communities. Immunizing children against polio is critical in India, which has now been declared polio-free for the third year in a row. Check out this Flipboard to see the highlights leading up to this huge milestone. It is a strategy of intense outreach coupled with grassroots immunization and awareness campaigns that have allowed for the success in the fight against this terrible and crippling disease in India.

Club member, Kyle Capone, is also traveling to India in February to assist with immunization efforts.  Our club members are truly an inspiration.
