Lakeview Rotary Host PAMS Fundraising Event

On Sunday August 29, 2010 the Chicago Lakeview Rotary Club hosted a kickoff party for the 2011 Illinois Peruvian Medical (IL-PAMS) Mission to the Arequipa, Peru.  Our club has volunteered to assist in this international humanitarian service effort not only with material support but also with club members going on the mission as volunteers.

Fifty Five people from IL-PAMS and Rotary gathered at Dan Bednarz and Terry McMahon’s house to enjoy a BBQ, brave the hot August weather and ask questions concerning what is entailed in an international mission project of this kind.  The photo shows Lakeview Rotary President Maureen Ninneman presenting a check to IL-PAMS President Dr. Edgard del Castillo to support the June 2011 medical mission.  Dr. Anibal Pepper looks on, ready to make an excellent and informational presentation on the mission plans.
