The Rotary Foundation is the major funding vehicle for Rotary Service Above Self around the world. Rotarians often wonder what happens to the money that is donated to the Rotary Foundation. To better understand how contributions translate into the incredible achievements of the Rotary Foundation use the Rotary Foundation Funding module to learn how contributions pay for grants and which programs they can support.

If each Rotarian contributes $100 per year to the Rotary Foundation, Rotary, with its approximately 1.2 million members around the world, would collect $120 million. Help Rotary meet or exceed this goal! One hundred dollars per year is only 27 cents per day. That is a very small price to pay in the spirit of Service Above Self. These 27 cents per day will help the Rotary Foundation make an even bigger difference in the world. You can read about the Rotary Foundation at www.rotary.org/foundation. The Rotary Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 and all of its financial information is available to the public. Check out this site to learn more about Rotary's financials.

The grant funds that come back to our club and district for our service projects are the direct result of Rotarians giving to the Annual Fund. In the 2010-2011 year alone TRF provided $150.2 million in program awards to support the fight against polio, life-changing humanitarian grants and inspirational educational programs.

You can conveniently make a tax deductible $100 donation to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund online at www.rotary.org/en/Contribute/Pages/ridefault.aspx. You can even sign up for recurring contributions with Rotary Direct. Think about spreading out four $25 contributions over 12 months or $10 per month, super convenient!
