Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Salk Polio Vaccine

12 April 2015, marks 60 years since the Salk polio vaccine was declared safe, effective, and potent. In that time, the number of polio cases has dropped by 99% worldwide.

 

Believe it or not, there are still 3 countries that are dealing with this terrible disease and if we don't eradicate it, we run the risk of it spreading again.
