On 1 September 2018, we celebrate our 13th year in Rotary!

To commemorate the occasion, Club President Mike Theodore sent a message to the current membership:

"It is quite fitting that we are wrapping up such an eventful week on the 13th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview being chartered. We have come a long way since September 1, 2005 and our future is looking brighter than ever!

To recognize this milestone, Rotary International President Barry Rassin has sent a letter congratulating us on all we have achieved as an organization. From his letter: "The success of a club depends on a number of factors, including a strong, active member base and a dedication to helping others. By reaching this milestone, your club has made a commitment to represent Rotary in your community, as well as Doing Good in the World through sustainable, meaningful service."

As we continue to grow, I also want to point out this quote on looking to the future: "I hope you also see this as an opportunity not only to reflect on what your club has accomplished so far but also to think of all that you still hope to achieve."

I would like to recognize our Charter Members who are still with us as either active or honorary members:

  • James Damato
  • Mark Knight
  • Teddi Olson
  • Roger Staedtke
This club is very important to all of us, and I couldn't thank you enough for taking the initiative to build it to where it is today."

Congratulations to all of our members, past and present - Here’s to another 13 wonderful years!
