The Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview is an official sponsor of the Secret Garden Gala, a formal event to benefit the Glenwood Sunday Market's food access program. The Secret Garden Gala promises to be an elegant formal affair featuring live music, delicious seasonal food, free-flowing refreshments, and surprises around every corner on the posh rooftop deck of the new Rogers Park Hampton Inn.

Rogers Park is one of the most diverse communities in the country and serves as a port of entry for immigrants and refugees from across the globe. Approximately one in five residents experience food insecurity, meaning they don't know where their next meal is coming from. The Glenwood Sunday Market commits to serving neighbors in need through their Market For All initiative. Market For All provides matching micro-grants for shoppers using SNAP/Link (formerly food stamps) at the farmers market to triple people's food dollars at the market. This initiative helps neighbors in need afford fresh, local food while also supporting local small businesses, farmers and food artisans. Through generous donations, it has served over 150 individuals in 2018, giving away more than $20,000 for fresh produce and local food.
