About Us

The Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview is a service organization of professionals who are committed to volunteerism and regularly do service projects locally and internationally. Through our projects, we work to combat hunger, alleviate poverty, and promote health and education.

We are a member of Rotary International, which is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

Join us for our 4th Crapple, where we will be raffling off various white-elephant-type items, with a drawing taking place every 30 minutes. Bring some cash, because in addition to the item raffle we’ll hold our first-ever "Unwrap the Ham," and even post a “wish board” in case you want to just show up and donate! In between drawings you can play games, eat, and try out the Pretty in Pink Lemonade Shot at the bar! All collected funds will be directed to our beneficiary, Supplies for Dreams.

$15 for admission to the Fundraiser
$5 for 5 raffle tickets
$10 for 15 raffle tickets

Last night's guest speaker Jahmal Cole was incredibly inspirational, sharing with us the details of his hometown initiative for Chicago's underserved teens. Called My Block, My Hood, My City, Jahmal and his colleagues introduce our city's youth to experiences outside of their neighborhoods so that they can broaden their world views and begin to imagine life outside their block.

In place of our regular club meeting tonight (21 Mar) we'll be holding a private Pre-Chili Cook-off Cook-off to get ourselves ready for a big event coming up on 22 April!

We'll be pitted against our friends in the Chicago Club Coalition to see who has the best vegetarian and non-vegetarian chili. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to combat hunger in and around Chicago.  Tickets are already on sale - Click on the image above, or head to bit.ly/ccchili18 to reserve your spot today!
