The idea of the free store is to provide support for struggling families. They partner with local businesses who help by providing supplies to give away to people in need and specifically to the new migrants who recently came to our city. Their biggest needs right now are toiletries, feminine products, and winter gear.

Today, September 26th, is National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day. Every year more first responders are lost to suicide than in the line of duty. Our club wants to recognize the importance of mental health resources and support.
In this effort and inline with Rotary's yearly theme, Create Hope in the World, we are supporting the The Steven J Bechina Memorial Foundation and their efforts to fundraise for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) by sponsoring a hole in their upcoming golf outing on 9/30 to round out Suicide Prevention Month.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 immediately or you can chat the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988lifeline.org. #mentalhealth #Rotary #Nami #PoliceMemorial
