PRESIDENT JUDY'S REPORT
Here we are in a new year and a new decade.  As usual, there has been lots of talk about new year’s resolutions.  Some folks, instead of making new year’s resolutions, pick a word for their year.  A friend of mine has done this for several years.  She works for the UN Refugee Agency and is currently living in Budapest, Hungary.  Before she picks a word, she spends time praying and asking God four questions:
“What do I need?”
“What’s in my way?”
“What needs to go?”
“What needs to be done in me and through me?”

These four questions remind me of the Rotary four-way test that Dan mentioned in last week’s newsletter:
“Is it the TRUTH?”
“Is it FAIR to all concerned??
“Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?”
“Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”

Wishing each of you and our club a successful year for 2020.
SECRETARY DAN'S REPORT
MY APOLOGIES...I had believed that this bulletin went out on Monday 1/6/20 but I overlooked one step in the editing process....Here is information that would have been much more valuable to the reader prior to today's meeting!!!

Our speaker this week (1/9/20) will be Dave Nabity.

People may know Dave as the man who ran for governor of Nebraska in 2006 and Omaha mayor in 2013.  Nabity will share his story of trust in God during a life journey that’s included the tragic loss of a child and lessons learned when his son, Graham, played football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

REMEMBER...
