Bank Balance: $4,154.25 OPD Bike Kit: Finally received and delivered ... thanks again to Gail for his perseverance and to Jim for his assistance Future Programs: April 1- Dave Rosacker; April 8 & 15 Open (Speakers are needed); April 22 - Guy Jukes (Jukes Ale Works) Guest Speaker: Bary Habrock provided a very insightful update about the Elkhorn Public Schools, primarily focusing on the district's on-going efforts to deal with COVID, maintain a safe and healthy learning environment and provide a quality education to all students. The District experienced a 5% growth in 2020 ... lower than normal, primarily due to the fact that 50 Kindergarteners "red-shirted" the school year. The District now has nearly 11,000 students and continues to grow. At its peak, there were 11% of students using stay-at-home Zoom learning ... that number has been reduced to less than 4%. There have been 1,520 positive tests for COVID-19 among students. Bary indicated that Douglas County Health (Aid Pour), the Elkhorn School Board and the Elkhorn Teachers Association have all been very supportive in their leadership roles this past 12 months. Mask up, Stay safe and keep your distance!
