Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you and your families are blessed with joy and good luck all year long.

 

I am sad to report that our longtime friend and fellow Rotarian, Roger Bettmann passed away early Monday morning after a battle with dementia. I don’t have the funeral arrangements yet but can send them out when I find out. Roger was a big help for many years with the Annual Holiday Food Baskets and delivering food and furniture to COPE families in our community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Roger’s wife Marcia and his children.  

 

We need speakers!!  We don’t have speakers lined up for meetings in January, please help if you can and invite someone interesting to speak at our meetings. Please let Neil or Jim know if you line someone up to speak so we get them on the speaker’s schedule, check with us for an open date.

 

Jan. 4^th – resume regular weekly lunch meetings, no speaker, business meeting.

Jan. 10^th – monthly drive through food pantry at DC West School 4:00PM

Jan. 11^th – no speaker

Jan. 18^th – no speaker

Jan. 25^th – no speaker 

 

A big thank you to all the Rotarians that helped with the Annual Holiday Food Basket this year. All 500 baskets were filled with food and delivered to the families on Saturday, December 16^th. The families appreciate all the work our volunteers do to provide them with a complete Holiday meal and basket of food.

 

Our lunch this Thursday will be pasta, salad, and brownies. Hope to see you then.
