Thank you to Luke McNeese of boy Scouts of America Mid-America Council for speaking with us on Thursday, Oct. 27th. Luke is the Soaring Eagles Director and oversees scouting recruitment and programming in the Western Douglas County area. He spoke about the history of the Boy Scouts of America, as well as different programming offered by the organization. (Activities for both men and women ranging in ages from 7-21. Scouting has encountered challenges staying relevant and being seen as a priority for families so numbers have been declining overall, however, numbers of young men involved in scouts in Western Douglas County continues to rise.
