Greetings, Rotarians! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. I especially want to thank everyone that volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army this year … it was a good opportunity to serve the community and also receive a little bit of exposure for Rotary. This week, we will meet at 7:00 AM at Elkhorn Common Ground. Our guest speaker will be Brooke Kirby … Brooke will present information about travel and travel insurance. Traveling during this post-COVID time still has many unknowns and travel insurance is one option that’s available to ease our anxiety about travel delays and cancellations. Next week (December 8th) we will be meeting at 12:00 noon, at the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation Alumni Room. This meeting will focus on growing our membership and identifying individuals that we can invite to Rotary. As an incentive to attend, we will be providing a pizza luncheon … more to follow. December offers several opportunities for serving our area communities. On Wednesday, December 14th, we will have our monthly DC West Food Basket distribution. December 15th, 16th and 17th will be West ‘O’s annual food distribution event. Volunteers are needed to assist all three days (Dec. 15th: pick-up food from area schools; Dec. 16th: sort and box food at Bethany and DC West, and Dec. 17th: deliver to needy families in the region). Thanks … see everyone tomorrow (7:00 AM)! Tod |
