A big thanks to Rolly for providing lunch last week. Lunch this Thursday will feature pasta casserole, salad, garlic bread, and brownies for dessert.

 

Our speaker will be Dr. Melissa Poloncic, Superintendent for the DC West Schools, Melissa will provide information about the growth and expansion of the school district. Melissa will also have pictures and information about the new Fine Arts building expected to open this Fall.

 

Our speaker for August 10^th will be our own Rotarian, Mark Wortman. Mark will be showing slides of his trip with students to Spain, Italy, and France.

 

Next Wednesday, August 9^th is the mobile food pantry at DC West Elementary school, 3:45 to 5:00. Thanks to our Rotary Clubs generosity, we will be handing out 3lb. packages of pork sirloin, we hope you can help.

 

The COPE food shelves are very low on supplies and large donations of food is not expected until October. I would like our Rotary Club to consider sponsoring some type of food drive. Please consider some ideas to help fill the pantry shelves.
