The following is a repeat of items needed by COPE for flood relief
Hello all, we need your help! Werner Trucking has generously donated a semi-trailer for food collection and delivered it to Peace Church. THANK YOU Peace Church for allowing us to use your parking lot and extra space for this flood relief project. We started today and will continue through Monday from Noon to 5:00PM collecting non-perishable food and toiletries at Peace for flood victims. Please pass this information on to your clergy, congregations, friends, neighborhoods, groups or organizations, anyone you feel would want to help flood victims with food. We have added this information on our website and face book page. Attached is a flyer that can be passed along or posted at any location. Please, lets get those donations coming our way, we have already been handing out extra pantries and will need the resources. Items mostly needed are:
Pancake mix
Syrup
Salad dressings
Jello
Pudding
Jelly
Ketchup
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Kleenex
Tooth Paste
Tooth brushes
Shampoo
I also opened a “COPE Flood Relief Fund” account at AIB Bank in Elkhorn and deposited a couple donations we have already received. A sign is also up at the bank indicating you can make a contribution to the COPE fund at the bank. All donations in this account will only be used for flood relief and not COPE general expenses. We have already received a request to purchase a couple air mattresses for a COPE flood affected family to sleep on, I’m sure other requests will be coming in the future. Many of our COPE families will not be able to afford to replace some of the basic living items. Please add this information to your congregation message.
