Thanks to everyone that made last week's "Get to Know Rotary" meeting so successful. A special thank-you to Rolly for coordinating the pizza lunch, to Diane for providing the homemade cookies and to everyone that helped with set-up or for acting as our "welcoming committee".
For those of you that weren't able to make it, we hosted thirteen guests, to include Scott Keep, our Assistant Governor. The group was very engaged with our members and I think that several guests are interested in coming back again. Our big challenge is to continue to engage those guests that attended and to reach out to those that weren't able to do so. I've sent a personal thanks to all of our guests but it's important that everyone else keep in contact with them, as well.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) is our monthly DC West Food Pantry distribution (4:00-5:00 PM) ... volunteers are always needed.
Thursday, our "guest" speaker will be Gail Stalder, otherwise known as the 2nd-best fisherman (fisherwoman) in his own home! Gail will provide some hands-on "show-and-tell" and share photos of some of his numerous fishing expeditions. The following week, our guest speaker will be Jim Keepers (local Arborist), followed by Steve Sellhorst (Home Security Systems). Please continue to be on look-out for future speakers ... contact Neil if you have any ideas.
