Thank you to Darren and Melody Mike and their son, Carter, for joining us on Thursday, Sept. 1st. The Mike family was recently highlighted in the Omaha World Herald for their plans to build and live in a Tiny House. Darren and Melody have four children and the family of 6 recently moved from a 2,300 sq. ft. home to an RV (temporarily), while they work to construct two Tiny Houses for their family to live in. Each tiny house will be approximately 200 sq. ft. One will house the children's beds, an area for home-school, and a recreation/multi-purpose area, while the other will house the parent's bed, the kitchen, and storage space.
The Mike family will be featured on the TV show Tiny House Nation and filming will begin in October. The Mike family plans to shrink their consumption and live a more intentional, cost-efficient, and sustainable life.

Lunch Bunch - It was decided that the Lunch Bunch will now meet once a month on the second Wednesday of each month at Shevy's. The next meeting will be Wed. Sept. 14th at 12noon.
