COPE - Community outreach program of Elkhorn
We had a great speaker from COPE, Jim Tomanek. COPE is a nonprofit in Elkhorn that provides basic needs for struggling families in western Douglas County. COPE serves around 450 families each year with food, clothing, rent, utilities and job searches. COPE relies on grants and private donors, if you would like to make a tax deductable donation contact Jim. Let me know if you need more about COPE.
Only 8 spots remain to ring Salvation Army bell at Family Fare November 21, 22 & 23, contact Jim Tomanek to sign up.
The lunch bunch met on November 9th at Shevys in Elkhorn. In honor of Veterans Day, Veterans Roger Benington and Gary Waserberger provided pictures and information on the new Veterans Memorial built on Spruce street in Valley.

Hola Ron! Here are a few photos - the first two from a day trip to Santo Domingo where I saw the oldest cathedral in the Western Hemisphere. The third photo is of the casitas "little houses" where I am staying. It has rained every day in Santiago - a lot!!
