Greetings Rotarians! At our regular Rotary meeting tomorrow we will finalize our purchase of a new projector for our Common Ground community room (price quote for the purchase and installation was previously distributed). We will also review the status of our plan for obtaining teams and sponsors for our golf outing. Tomorrow is also District 5650's annual meeting (7:00 PM). I will be representing our club but anyone can participate (via Zoom). Next year's District emphasis is going to be the implementation of a new Public Image proposal. I will share some facts about membership, club growth and RI's action plan. Rotary International will be providing videos that we can be share in various membership-building efforts. - Treasurer's Report: $5,516.25 (includes some Golf Tourney proceeds). Elkhorn Foundation's invoice for EHS and ESHS scholarships has been received ($3,000) ... to be paid after July 1st (or after the golf outing).
- Golf Outing: Teams, Sponsors, Volunteer Needs were reviewed and discussed (2021 sponsorship responsibilities hand-out was distributed by Mike Ough). Last year we had 13 Teams and made $5,700 profit. This year's effort needs to expand in order to plan for Elkhorn North's added scholarship in 2022.
- Fines: Rolly helped collect several fines ($25-$30)
- Speaker of the Day: Ed Pullen (Elkhorn Commercial Computer Presentation Systems). Ed shared a history of how ECC has transformed over the years, emphasizing "in-focus" hardware, projection systems and flat-panel displays. The key to their success has been on finding the right fit of "dollars, size and connectivity" for their clients. ECC will be assisting us in providing a turn-key acquisition and installation of a new projector system for Elkhorn Common Ground.
