Other announcements/discussion: President Mike reviewed the results of the breakfast survey.  After some brief discussion, it was decided that we will try a limited menu next week from Hy-Vee.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a weekend long camp held a Camp Kitaki for high school sophomores and juniors.   There is an interest within the club in providing an opportunity to local students to participate.  Judy Ackland, Bary Habrock, Ron Mortenson and Jim Tomanek have stepped up to work on this project. The schools are in the process of trying to select potential student candidates.  Individual donations to support this effort are also accepted.  Please let Ron know if you would like more information.
Next week’s speaker has yet to be announced.  Please let Neil know you have future speaker ideas.
Our scheduled speaker, Dr. Michael Feilmeier, had to answer an emergency call.  We will hope to get him back on our schedule again soon.
Steve Kucirek was pressed into duty and was asked to pitch hit for the club by becoming our impromptu presenter.   He hit it out of the park!   Steve shared his expertise within the investment arena and presented very insightful information regarding the current state of the economy and the financial markets, including the recent newsworthy fluctuations.   There was some spirited discussion about a variety of economic and social issues.   Thanks to Steve for coming to the aid of the club!
