Minutes from February 13, 2020 We were led in prayer and pledge by Dave Rosacker
We had 14 members present.
Treasurer's Report: There is $4,329.26 in the general fund. Announcements/Discussion: - We discussed worthy community projects which we can pursue for next grant. The club is encouraged to bring ideas to future meetings.
- Remember Monday, June 15th is the WDC Scholarship Golf Tourney at the Pines with a 1:00 start.
- We need to fill the speaker slots for all meetings after this week.
Presentation: Judy introduced our speaker, Mary Scearcy, a Senior Living Consultant with Immanuel Communities. Mary shared her message of the "loneliness epidemic" among the senior citizens in the U.S. and how it has become a true cause of accelerating heart disease and dementia for older adults. She explained what Immanuel Communities are doing to help it's residents become more socialized and how they are creating communities of opportunities to thrive.
