Neil introduced our speaker of the day for November 19th, Rebecca Vinton of WELLCOM which emphasizes the importance of workplace wellness education. Rebecca joined WELLCOM in 1996 as the Associate Director and was promoted to Executive Director in 2011. She works to inspire businesses of all sizes to take an active role in the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of their employees. Rebecca assists members with their wellness needs and represents WELLCOM on various boards and task forces dedicated to healthy workplaces around the state.  Rebecca described a wellness acroyym called SPISE, which consists of Social, Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Emotional.  These steps lead to personal and corporate wellness.

 

 

Companion Services believes that the best quality of services begins with genuine relationships between the individuals in services and the people who support them. Companionc Services is striving to replace institutional thinking, language and structures; and deliver its services through natural relationships, in natural settings, such as working in commercial establishments such as a restaurant or thrift store.  To assist clients that are mathematically challenged, they use a color code method to identify menu items and select the matching colors at the cash register.
