Thanks to Stephanie Sullivan with the Food Bank for the Heartland for being our speaker last week. Stephanie discuss the challenges the food bank is currently faced with as demand for food increases and supplies are reduced.
Our speaker for this week is hosted by Larry Bock. Bernie Kanger is a retired Omaha Fire Chief and the current Fire Chief for Eppley Airfield.
This Wednesday, October 11th is the monthly food pantry at the DC West Elementary School. We will be handing out packages of chicken along with the usual boxes of non-perishables and produce from 3:45 to 5:00PM.
Also, please join me in welcoming our newest Rotary member, Joe Tramontozzi Jr. Although Joe is Roger Breed's neighbor, we won’t hold that against him. Welcome Joe, we appreciate your Rotary membership!
Don’t forget to stop by AIB Bank to donate non-perishable food to COPE, Dan has arranged for some great prizes for a drawing.
