Our speaker last week was our President-Elect, Judy Ackland. Judy presented a summary of the Part I session of a three Part program from the Rotary Leadership Institute Course. Part I dealt with THE ROTARIAN, covering leadership insights, RI Foundation, Service Project, My Rotary World, Engaging Members and Ethics & Vocational Service. Invocation - Gail Stalder presented the Invocation for our Club. Email Phisher - President Dan reported on a phishing email in his name was sent to Rita asking for a check be written for $2,800. Our ever-alert treasurer detected something 'Fishy" and contacted Dan for verification. Treasurer Report - Rita reported the bank balance to be $4,142.22 Secretary Report - Ron reported on the forthcoming lunch bunch at Shevy's on June 14 at noon with Doug Cunningham as speaker. Ron also reported that June 20th will be the date for dues to be paid or a commitment to renew is indicated to Ron and Rita. July 10 Club Golf Outing - The Outing will be at the Pines in Valley as usual and the usual announcement to get your foursomes together applies. (Action is needed on the regular club meeting to be cancelled for the outing, if any.) Jasmine Hits the Headlines - Jasmine was pictured in an article in the newspaper for which Rex paid the fine. THE KITTY WINNER! - Alas, Doug Cunningham left too soon to draw for a white golf ball with his winning ticket. |
