PRESIDENT JUDY

Great job last week with our business meeting!  As usual, Dan has done a great job of capturing our meeting (see minutes below).  If any of you come across a service project you would like our group to do, please let me know or mention it at a meeting.  Also, if any of you participate in a service project or donate your services to an organization outside of our club, let me know so we can track the number of volunteer hours our club does in the next year.  For instance, Ron has donated lots of time fixing bicycles to be given away.  I’m sure many of you have and continue to donate your time and talents.  Let me know!

The club held a business meeting today presided over by President Judy.  We reviewed the four goal areas and discussed the clubs goals for the remained of the President’s term:
    • The club has set the goal of 3 net new members
    • Much discussion ensued about how to attract new members including younger people into the club.
  • Rotary Foundation Support
    • Currently the club provides $50 annually per member to the RF.The motion was made and seconded to continue at this level.
  • Attendance at District Events
    • Judy encouraged members to attend other Rotary events but no nominal goal was decided as to how many events would constitute our club goal.
    • The club has a tradition of serving several community efforts including: COPE, Chamber of Commerce Food Basket, Local school
Scholarships, Salvation Army Bell Ringing. The club made the decision to continue with these and seeks opportunities for more.
