Greetings Rotarians!

Thanks to Mike Ough for hosting last week's guest speaker, Don Dravland from The Pines, one of the few semi-private golf clubs in Nebraska. This week, Jim Tomanek will be our speaker and provide an update on COPE, to include possible relocation/expansion plans that are in the works. April 22nd, our speaker will be Guy Jukes, from Jukes Ale Works. Mike and I will be attending the Elkhorn Foundation's scholarship receptions on April 28th & 29th. On May 6th, we will present our scholarship awards to this year's recipients ... more specifics to follow. See you Thursday!

Meeting Minutes 4/8/21

Guest Speaker: Don Dravland shared numerous facts about The Pines Golf Club. The Pines was built in 1979 and became a member-owned, semi-private golf club in 1986 (375 members, with 113 on the waiting list). During the COVID-year of 2020, over 30,000 rounds of golf were played (compared to 26,000 in 2019). Dues are currently $190 / month but are scheduled to increase in 2021. Playing times are restricted to members and their guests, Friday thru Sunday. "Open Golf" is available Monday - Thursday, after the initial 2-hour opening period is over. The Pines hosts a limited number of outings each year ... our Western Douglas County Rotary outing is one of those select groups for 2021 (July 19th)!
