The above photos show our Speaker for the Day, Gary Java from Pinnacle Bank and host Jim Tomanek.
Gary's message was a presentation of the forthcoming PINNACLE BANK CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF EVENT TO BE HELD ON JULY 17-23, 2017. Gary explained the planning for the event and listed the sponsoring and participation opportunities. Gary handed a booklet containing Sponsorship Opportunities.
Gary pointed out that TEAMMATES is the event charity, however, other charities such as COPE can sell tickets for the event and receive a large portion of the ticket proceeds. Tod discussed the opportunity to rent out lodging in his house because of his close proximity to the golf course, including a set of grand stands to be built on his roof (just kidding).
OTHER MEETING ACTIVITIES
Acting President Jim Tomanek opened the meeting and Mike Ough gave an invocation and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance to The Flag
Treasurer Rita reported on our bank balance:
Ron Mortensen gave a report on the new Smart Phone APP available from Club Runner which is available to all members of our club. See story on the APP at the end of this Club Bulletin if you want further information.
Tod Ringenberg reported 53 applications for our scholarships and suggested the awards banquet in April following selection and acceptance.
Our club golf outing date was discussed, Jim will double check on the date, possibly July 10th
Judith reported on an apartment search for a long time acquaintance from Grand Island. See the story in this bulletin.
