A big thanks to our speaker last Thursday, Dr. Melissa Poloncic, Superintendent for the DC West Schools, Melissa provided us with information about the growth and expansion of the school district and pictures from the new Fine Arts building expected to open this Fall.

 

Our speaker for this week will be our own Rotarian, Mark Wortman. Mark will be showing slides of his trip with students to Spain, Italy, and France.

 

This Wednesday, August 9^th is the mobile food pantry at DC West Elementary school, 3:45 to 5:00. Thanks to our Rotary Clubs generosity, we will be handing out 3lb. packages of pork sirloin, we hope you can help.

 

The COPE food shelves are very low of supplies, large donations of food are not expected until October. I would like our Rotary Club to consider sponsoring some type of food drive. Please let me know if you have any ideas to help fill the pantry shelves.

 

Dave Rosacker is bringing Don Carmello’s pizza, salad, and dessert for lunch this Thursday.
