Our annual Rotary Scholarship Breakfast is this coming Thursday morning. The three awardees will be present with their parents and school officials. Each of these graduating seniors have already accomplished alot and we will have a chance to listen to their hopes and dreams. The Annual Rotary Scholarship breakfast will be next week, April 5th, the Club will welcome the scholarship winners, their parents, and their school representatives. Dr. Cindy Gray from EPS will be a special speaker.All hands on deck are requested as bit earlier than usual so that we can have the room all ready to go for our special guests.
The Rotary Golf Outing, which provides the funding for the scholarships, is set for July 9th at The Pines.Put together your fearsome foursome!

Rachel Reis is the Executive Director of Hunger Free Heartland. The organization makes it their goal that kids in the area have access to 3 meals each day, year around. HFH is a non-profit organization that receives funding through grants and donations. Racheal shared a good amount of information about the stigmas that are associated with free meal programs in schools, and also shared successes of how her organization is helping to break those down, so that the kids who need access to food are able to do so without feeling embarrassed or singled out.
