Greetings Rotarians and Friends of Rotary!

Thanks to Gail (and Peggy) for last week's "Fishing 101" presentation and for the soup and sandwich lunch. It was unfortunate that the EPSF projection system didn't work but I'm sure that Gail will be happy to show his slides some other time.

This week, our guest speaker will be Jim Keepers, local Arborist.  Jim will provide information on a variety of topics, to include tree and plant care, landscaping tips and other items of interest.  Our speaker on February 23rd will be Steve Sellhorst.  Steve will be speaking about home security systems. Please plan on attending these two events.

Our scholarship evaluation process for 2023 has started ... several members have received the Foundation's email and link to review this year's applications. If anyone would like to assist (and is not already involved), please let me know.

As we continue this year's "Imagine Rotary" theme, we are again made aware of the need for Rotary's helping hand throughout the world. The earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have brought devastation and suffering to tens of thousands of citizens of the area. As it has done throughout it's 118-year history, Rotary International is mobilizing a humanitarian relief effort. Check out www.rotary.org to see ways that you can donate to the cause.

Watch your email for a copy of this year's WDC Rotary Golf Outing flyer. Since this year will be our 25th annual event, it would be nice if we can do something special to increase our participation, hole sponsorship and really try to gain a few corporate sponsors. Our ability to fund our scholarships is directly dependent upon the success of our golf outing ... I hope that everyone can get involved!
