Invocation/Pledge: President Dan called Ron for an invocation and to lead us in the pledge of allegiance. Lunch Bunch: Wednesday, July 19th at Shevy's, speaker to be announced. (JIM T) Golf Outing: Need hole sponsors, golfers, prizes, and raffle ticket buyers. Need specifically 8 sponsors and 6 more teams. (JIM T) Diane Johnson: With low team and sponsors, we may need more member funds to reach scholarship budget. Thank you: President Dan read a card from a grateful scholarship recipient. Club Runner Phone App: For those of you using the club runner app on your iPhone, there is a problem loading current club stories into the app. Club Runner folks in Toronto say they are working on a fix. Kitty Winner: Gail had the winning number but bugged out early and new member Curtis Johnson's number was called and he found the red ball somehow. Speaker of the Day: Wendy Mislivec from AAA was our speaker ostensibaly to speak on the discount program for auto insurance utilizing a driver monitoring program on the driver's smart phone tied into the GPS system. Briefly we heard about the technology of the system but that morphed into a promotion for AAA Insurance. Sorry, I guess the sales pitch went beyond expectations. Mia Culpa - Ron |
