 Greetings Rotarians and Friends of Rotary ... Thanks to Roger Breed for last week's travelogue presentation about his trip to the PGA Championship and to the MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown New York. Thanks also to Rex Moats for arranging for the Don Carmelo's pizza, for lunch. This week's guest speaker will be Tom McShane. Tom will be sharing a presentation about OPPD's Ft. Calhoun nuclear plant, formerly the nation's smallest nuclear plant, now de-commissioned. Coordinators for lunch are needed ... please contact Rolly, Rex or Dave (or me). Future speakers will be Rex Moats (Hawaii) and Jerry Egermier (African Safaris). Additional speakers are needed, for upcoming weeks. The DC West Food Pantry distribution will be next week, June 14. Jim Tomanek will be gone so volunteers are needed (Wednesday, 4:00 - 5:00 PM). Last week, our club formally approved a monthly contribution to the Food Pantry ($100.00 per month, for 1-year). Plans are to re-new or increase this contribution, next year. Yearly club membership ($220) is now due ... please bring your check to Rotary or mail it to WDC Rotary, P.O. Box 265, Elkhorn, NE 68022. June 29th is Rotary District 5650's "Night at the Ballpark" ... Several activities are planned for Rotarians and their families.
