Greetings Rotarians! Things are really heating up for the WDC Rotary Golf Outing coming soon on Monday, July 20th at The Pines Country Club in Valley. Mike Ough has been busy planning a great day for all participants! You may walk away with $5,000 from your putting skills or even $1,000,000 for sinking a 165-yard “chip shot” 😊 Teams can still sign up, and raffle prizes are still being collected, as we use this only opportunity of the year to raise funds for our scholarship program. On June 28th, ninety delicious breakfasts were served at the Elkhorn Eagles Club to benefit the Rotary Polio Plus program. $513 from the breakfast and another $208 in donations will provide $721 from our Club for the Polio Plus project. We also collected $200 in the “tip jar” that will go towards our District’s Matching Grant to provide ground beef at the mobile food pantry. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped at the breakfast, and especially to Jim Tomanek for spearheading the effort! |
