Greetings Rotarians!

Thanks to Mike for covering for me last week and to Roger for his slide show of Ireland.  We really enjoyed our trip to New England (Boston, Bar Harbor Maine, Providence and Newport Rhode Island and Martha's Vineyard).  Visiting these areas provided a great refresher course in the history of our country ... they have restaurants that are 200 years older than the state of Nebraska! 

This week, Neil will be sharing his slides of France ... another opportunity for our club to be educated in the bigger world, beyond Western Douglas County!  Next Wednesday (October 12th) will be our monthly DC West Food Basket distribution. We also need a speaker for the following day, Thursday, October 13th.

On October 20th, we will have a World Polio Day presentation by Rita ... remember to bring your checkbooks for our annual Polio-Plus fundraiser. Our guest speaker on October 27th will be Stacey Falk, Executive Director of the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation.
