Greetings Rotarians!

This week, our guest speaker will be Jim Smith, former Nebraska Legislator, President of Blueprint Nebraska and now the head of The Platte Institute, an economic development initiative for the state of Nebraska.  Jim will be joined by Elizabeth Hallgren, Community Engagement Director and Rotarian with Omaha West.  Please join us for this interesting presentation.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be having slide presentations by Roger (Ireland) and Neil (France) ... other speakers are needed for October and beyond. At last week's meeting we discussed numerous possible topics/potential speakers, to include Travel Agents, Omaha Police (Elkhorn) update, OPPD, Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation, Metro Community College, Software Development and Realtors/Appraisers.  Please continue to reach out to your friends and business associates who might be willing to be our guests.

As mentioned in yesterday's email, our good friend and faithful Rotarian, Bob Reade passed away this week.  Bob's funeral will be Saturday at St. Augustine's.  We were also notified that Bary Habrock's brother (Marty, age 54) also passed away.  Please keep both families in your thoughts and prayers.

This afternoon is our monthly DC West Food Pantry distribution at 4:00 PM.  Volunteers are needed, so please assist, if possible.
