Greetings Rotarians! "Service above self." No one epitomizes this quote more than Rotarians or veterans. Presidents John Kennedy and Jimmy Carter were both Rotarians and veterans. This November 11th we would like to salute all veterans for their "service above self." Thank you!
Even though we live in a country of plenty, we know all too well that many families struggle economically. Thank heaven for people like Greag Kraemer and the SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE foundation. By providing beds to those in need, many children now have a better chance for success. Thanks, Greg!  Rotary Minute- Dave Holmquist From New York to Grand Island to Lincoln and finally to Omaha, Dave Holmquist has left a positive impact wherever he's been. As a Dean of Admissions, and as a lobbyist fighting cancer and promoting clean air, Dave's imprint has made this world a better place - Thanks, Dave!  We are still working on finalizing a "Social Night Out." Dick Krueger, has once again, graciously volunteered his home to serve this purpose. We will discuss it on Thursday - please come up with some dates! Food handout at DC West Elementary will be this Wednesday, November 13th at 3:45. Upcoming Rotary Minute November 14th - Dave Rosacker Speaker and Lunch Schedule: November 14th - Speaker - Vern Ortmeier, Bethlehem House volunteer movers. Mark Wortman will provide lunch. November 21st - Speaker - Anne Doerr and Kara Perchal, TeamMates Mentoring Program. Lunch Provider needed. November 28th - No Rotary Meeting - Thanksgiving. December 5th - Speaker needed.
