Greetings Rotarians! This week our special guest speaker will be Anne Doerr from the Elkhorn Public Schools central office. Anne will speak about school safety, security issues and programs that help keep students and staff safe in the district’s facilities. Our “lunch” committee of Rolly, Jim and Dave are going to coordinate some sort of lunch ($10) so come hungry. A special thanks to Ariel Moats for last week’s presentation about her UNMC research training projects at the Buffett Cancer Center. We were also pleased to welcome Diane Moats and Peggy Stalder, as our guests. Earlier in the week I sent out electronic versions of our “Get to Know Rotary” invitation, to include the list of those that have been invited to our February 2nd event. I’ve already had some positive responses and hope to get several more. If you’ve been in contact with a person on the list (or anyone else), please let me know so that we can keep track of all individuals that have responded. Our current Assistant District Governor has been invited and will join us. This event can go a long way towards helping grow our club membership. Please promote it and continue to identify others that might be interested in joining us. Thanks … see you Thursday! Tod |
