Last week on Tuesday, several of us had the pleasure of meeting with the Omaha Morning Rotary Club. It’s always interesting to see how each club has its own personality. The speaker was from the Pinnacle Bank arena in Lincoln. It’s was a great meeting even though I had to sit at the head table. 😊
I’m praying that each of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family & friends. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you next week. Don’t forget to bring your items to donate for COPE!
We had 17 members present. We also welcomed two guests besides our speakers, Lenny Ackland and Eric Stueckrath.

Tod reminded those interested in serving as a member of the scholarship committee to let him know in the near future.
Neil collected fines from those bold enough to confess and/or boast.
Presentation: Neil introduced Bill Williams of Patriotic Productions. Bill and his wife Evonne have orchestrated honor flights to Washington DC for over 10 years. He shared various highlights from past flights. Bill then introduced Stacy Birkel, a veteran of the US Army who took part in the recent all-female veteran flight in September. Stacy shared wonderful details about her experiences on the trip. The club salutes Stacy’s service to our country and the Williams’ for their continued commitment to honor the great women and men who have served to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.
Next, Next, Next meeting speaker (11/29): Patsy Schmidt of the Elkhorn Historical Society. Patsy always makes it an entertaining presentation! She will also have the society’s 2019 calendars for sale just in time for Christmas!
