WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hello, Rotarians!
Thanks to Mike and Tod for leading the meeting last week for me.  My brother and I left early Thursday morning to travel to Arkansas for our cousin’s funeral.

I received an email this morning about 2021 Rotary Peace Fellowships.  100 peace fellowships are offered each year to Rotary Peace Centers around the world.  Graduates from Rotary Peace Center programs work all around the world.  Some other statistics:
  • 65 million people are currently displaced by armed conflict or persecution.
  • Rotary has raised $142 million to support peace.
  • Over 1,000 students have graduated from Rotary Peace Centers programs.

One Rotary Peace Center graduate in India, ElsaMarie D’Silva, started the Red Dot Foundation which works with non-government agencies in India, Nepal, and Kenya to address street harassment and violence against women.  To learn more about Ms. D’Silva, click here https://www.rotary.org/en/rotary-peace-fellow-fights-street-harassment-and-violence.

If you know someone who is interested in applying for one of the Rotary Peace Fellowships, let me know.

Judy

Presentation:

Rolly shared his knowledge of Total Motion Release as a means of relieving body pains and providing flexibility and greater whole body strength.  There was a fair amount of grunting and groaning (or maybe that was just me) as he had us try several exercises.
