Greetings Rotarians!
It was nice to have a good turn-out at last week's meeting (11 members in-person and 2 via ZOOM). We'll have ZOOM access again this week, for anyone unable to attend in person.
Thanks to Steve Kucirek, for sharing his expertise regarding the current state of the US economy and how the financial market is affected by inflation, politics and our tax structure. Of particular interest to our members were discussions regarding RMD (Required Minimum Distribution, for retirees), QCD donations (Qualified Charitable Distributions, from IRAs) and State and Local Tax (SALT) limits.
This week, our guests will be Head Coach Josh Nakayama and three players from the Midland University Men's Soccer team. The team has numerous international student-athletes and they will share some of their experiences and how they were recruited to come live and play in Nebraska.
Meeting Schedule: February 3: OPEN; February 10: Dave Rosacker will host a former Navy Submarine officer. February 17: OPEN. Please let Neil or me know if you have anyone that would like to join us either of the two open dates. Our next DC West Food Basket volunteering opportunity will be Wednesday, February 9th (4:30 - 5:30).
Thanks ... see you Thursday
