Greetings Rotarians and Friends of Rotary ... Thanks to Neil Kirby for last week's presentation about his trip to the Masters. If the Masters can sell $70 million in merchandise in one week, maybe we should try to market our own WDC Rotary T-shirts! Congratulations to both Mark Wortman and Paul Wortman, for officially becoming members of our club ... please welcome them the next time you see them. That should be Thursday, because this week's guest speaker will be Mike Wortman, District 5650 Trainer and one of the three Wortman Musketeers. Last night, I participated in the District Governor's monthly President's ZOOM meeting. We were notified that we are one of about four clubs that have already met our '22-23 goals in order to achieve Rotary International's Citation Award. Thanks to everyone for volunteering, contributing and attending our community activities. We have until the end of May to identify a District Grant project in order to again qualify for next year's matching funds. If we pledge and raise $1,500 for a worthwhile community project, Rotary will match it. Next week (April 27) we will NOT meet at our regular noon-hour time. We will be going to Bravo Restaurant for an evening "Dining-Out" with spouses and guests (6:00 PM). Let Diane Johnson or Mike Ough know if you are planning on attending. We will have an area reserved for our group and we will be ordering off the menu. If you don't know yet if you can attend, we'll be checking back, next week ... last-minute decisions are ok! Thanks ... See you Thursday! Tod |
