I had an email today from Nicki Klein reminding us that the deadline for nominating someone for a District award is February 15th. In case you have someone in mind, here is the website with more information: https://rotarydistrict5650.org/sitepage/awards/. As you can see from this site, there is one award that is for non-Rotarians.
Continue to be thinking about a project that you would like our club to take on. If you would like a copy of the District list Gail passed around at the meeting last week, just let Gail or I know and we will get you a copy.
Member Moment: Rollie Kleeman did a great job of sharing his story with us.
Announcements/discussion:
Scholarship season is just around the corner. Tod reminded us of how fulfilling the experience is in learning about the achievements of our young people during this process.
Gail brought handouts regarding recent projects and grants awarded through the District’s Rotary Foundation.
Neil reported that speakers are in place for the next three meetings. Future suggestions are always welcome!
Judy asked for input on the potential need for a President-elect.
The Rotary Scholarship Golf Outing is June 17th. That’s just 5 short months away!
Presentation:
Rollie introduce Mike Stodden of Stodden Physical Therapy. There are now locations not only in Elkhorn but also in Gretna, Bennington and Alliance. Mike shared his biography of how he became interested in PT and gave several very interesting examples of how patients have benefitted from the services available. He also detailed many of the treatments and services that his clinics have available.
